First-half results reflect Gulf logistics disruption, while second-quarter revenue exceeded €20 million and indicated a recovery.
Key figures
- Revenue and other income: €37.4 million, versus €39.5 million.
- EBITDA: €8.5 million, versus €11.5 million; margin 23.5%.
- EBIT: €4.5 million, versus €7.2 million.
- Net profit: €3.4 million, versus €4.8 million.
- Net debt: €17.1 million, versus €16.5 million at end-2025.
Franchi Umberto Marmi reported lower first-half 2026 results, with most of the weakness concentrated in the opening quarter. The company linked the slowdown to logistics disruption caused by US-Iran tensions and the resulting pressure on Gulf shipping routes.
The intra-period trend improved: second-quarter revenue exceeded €20 million. North America rose to €9.3 million from €6.7 million, while EMEA declined to €18.2 million from €20.6 million and Asia to €4.6 million from €6 million. Australia was broadly stable at €4 million.
Profitability remained substantial, but the decline in EBITDA and margin means the volume recovery still needs to translate into better cost absorption. The group also completed its new Miami showroom during the period, reinforcing its commercial presence in the United States.
The company
Franchi Umberto Marmi extracts, processes and markets Carrara marble and other natural stones for international residential, contract and architectural projects.
